Gisele Silva is a performing artist, instructor, and choreographer from São Paulo, Brazil, whose artistry spans tap, jazz, modern, and Afro-Brazilian dance. Celebrated for her dynamic presence and versatility, her work has been spotlighted in The New York Times, Dance Magazine, and Forbes Brasil, establishing her as a standout figure in the international dance community.

Based in Los Angeles, Gisele is the dance captain and a member of Chloe Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies, with whom she has performed nationwide in sold-out tours and on iconic stages such as the Apollo Theater, Lincoln Center, and Miller Theater. Her credits with the group also include appearances at the BET Awards, CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live, Essence Festival, and NBA halftime shows. She is also a member of Music From The Sole, the New York-based tap company acclaimed for its fusion of tap and Brazilian music, with performances at The Joyce Theater, Guggenheim Museum, Jacob’s Pillow, and the Vail Dance Festival.

Most recently, Gisele appeared with Dorrance Dance in The Nutcracker Suite, stepping into the lead role of Clara at The Kennedy Center and New York City Center. She also performed as part of the White House’s 2023 Holiday Campaign.

As an educator, Gisele is deeply committed to passing on her craft. She has taught at major festivals and conventions worldwide—including Tap in Rio, DC Tap Fest, Hollywood Tap Fest, ASH, and Turn It Up—and works regularly with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy and the Chloe and Maud Foundation in Los Angeles.

Her artistry extends beyond tap: as a member of Viver Brazil, she shares the vibrancy of Afro-Brazilian dance as both performer and teaching artist. Her diverse career also includes appearances at Disney California Adventure Park, Brazilian Carnaval, and Rock in Rio, as well as a feature in Apple TV+’s musical film Spirited, alongside Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Octavia Spencer.
