David Mann

David Mann's innovative tap choreography has appeared on the national television shows "Good Morning America", "America's Got Talent", "America's Most Talented Kids", "Live to Dance", and on the WE Network reality show "Little Miss Perfect". His work can be seen in industrial performances for Hugo Boss, Paramount, Ingersal Rand and on board Celebrity, Holland America, Norwegian and Cunard Cruise Lines. You can also catch his choreography in the national tours of "Road to Victory", "On Tap" and most notably "Dr. Doolittle" starring Tommy Tune. Mann and his choreography have shared the stage with stars like Adam Lambert, Jill Scott, Erika Badu, Regis Philban, Rita Moreno and Queen Latifah. David was also recently awarded "Teacher of the Year" by Dancer Magazine.
Marco Cruz
Hip Hop
Marco Cruz is a Choreographer, Dancer, Artistic Director, Judge, Master Class Instructor, and Leader in the Contemporary and Hip Hop Arenas. His musicality and attention to detail have been described as captivating, inspirational and breathtaking. His passion for dance is what has made him one of todayʼs most sought after choreographers and a true original in his field. His professional persuits have no end, he has performed in, choreographed, and directed music videos, commercials and award shows for recording artist such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Rihanna, Naturi Naughton, Olivia Newton John, Kenny Loggins, and Kwanza Jones; and production companies including Paramount Pictures, ABC, Nickelodeon, Disney, Power of Youth, Variety Magazine, and Nigel Lythgoe’s Dizzy Feet Foundation.
Cruz is no stranger to the world of competitive dance. His works have placed first against some of today’s most elite dance studios. He has earned several National Championship Titles at some of the most prestigious competitions: ShowStoppers, Hollywood Vibe, Starpower, Hall of Fame, Hollywood Connection, Jump, The Dance Awards and KAR just to name a few. Dance education and instilling a respect of the art of dance is of primary focus for Cruz. Several of his students have chosen to pursue dance education at the collegiate level. Likewise, many of Cruz’s students have excelled in dance and the entertainment industry and have moved on to dance professionally for companies such as Joffrey, Ballet Hispanico in New York, Lines in San Francisco, Santa Barbra’s State Street Ballet, and many more.
Jessica Etzel

Jessica has been dancing since the age of 8 and has trained in all genres of dance, making her a versatile teacher and choreographer. She trained with many studios & dance companies before settling into the world of teaching. Jessica currently owns & directs her own studio and dance company in Maryland, where her students are national champion competitors and performers. She has been a featured performer at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover, PA, and she has participated in several events to honor National Dance Week. She was awarded with the Frank Hatchett Broadway Dance Center Scholarship along with the Los Angeles Dance Force, "Dance with the Force Award." Jessica was also named the American Dance Awards "Young Choreographer of the Year,” and her award-winning choreography can be seen throughout the country on both the competition & convention stages. Jessica is a part of the Dance Olympus/DanceAmerica and International Dance Challenge Faculty, where she has had the opportunity to travel to numerous cities, teaching master classes, judging dance competitions, and performing. Jessica graduated from McDaniel College with a degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education. She was also awarded the Richard Clower Award for Excellence.
Tawnya Kuzia
Jazz
Tawnya has been dancing for 25 years and has won numerous awards and scholarships. She has been teaching and choreographing all styles of dance for 13 years and has trained many scholarship winners, professional dancers, and national champions. She has also trained many dancers who have been accepted into prestigious dance programs and College dance programs such as ABT, Alvin Ailey, UC Irvine, Chapman University, Loyola Marymount, Marymount Manhattan, UCLA, among others. Tawnya received her B.A. in Dance from SJSU, where she was a member of their modern dance troupe, University Dance Theatre, under the direction of Julliard Alumni Gary Masters. After College she continued her training in a work study program at Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood California, one of the premiere dance studios in the nation where she trained under and assisted some of the worlds top choreographers including owner and master teacher, Bill Prudich. Throughout her training Tawnya has been fortunate to train with some of the best choreographers in the country. She discovered her love for fusing Ballet technique with Hip Hop and Contemporary styles while dancing with Funkanometry SF in their all female Hip Hop Company De La Femme. Currently, Tawnya is busy teaching, producing shows, and choreographing for companies, teams, award shows, and events such as "The NAACP Awards where she choreographed for Vanessa Williams and the "original dream girl" Sheryl Lee Ralph and dancers. In 2006 Tawnya and her husband (Motion Picture and Event Production Designer) Jason Kuzia were so excited to open the bay area’s newest dance center, Nor Cal Dance Arts, where Tawnya is also the Artistic director of it’s pre-professional dance companies and teams. Since it's opening the studio has seen great success and has grown into a new location and state of the art 10,500 sq ft. facility. The studio has been awarded "Best of San Jose" for 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. In June of 2009, Tawnya was selected as a National Finalist for the Capezio Award for Choreographic Excellence in NYC. The opportunities lead to the start of her professional company, Rugged Dance Company. While directing and choreographing for Rugged, Tawnya has had her work showcased at the notorious Roxy Theater in Hollywood Ca, Music Box Theater Hollywood Ca, Fort Mason Theater SF, Montgomery Theater San Jose, and many other venues. Through her work with the company she has been awarded the People's Choice award and Critics Choice at SJDanceCo's ChoreoProject Awards Concerts. Honored to grace the cover of the 25th anniversary issue, The Metro magazine named Tawnya as one of Silicon Valley's top 25 to watch as a next generation of leaders in their fields. The article signified her as a rising leader in Bay Area arts, alongside other great entrepreneurs such as Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg. Regarded as one of the Bay Area's best instructors and contemporary choreographers Tawnya is so excited to be working with new and talented dancers and hopes to encourage performers and audience members to experience the art of dance in new and creative ways.
Julie Tomaino
Musical Theater
Julie is a theatre professional specializing in choreography, stage direction, and dance education. She spent thirteen years living and working in New York City, most notably as a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall from 2005 – 2011. Other performance credits include Louise on the US National Tour of CRAZY FOR YOU; Margie in the ABC Movie remake BYE BYE BIRDIE; and regional productions of THE PRODUCERS, CHICAGO, CABARET, EVITA, MY FAIR LADY, 42ND STREET, FORUM, GUYS AND DOLLS, AND FIORELLO.
Julie just returned from Skagway, Alaska where she served as the choreographer/assistant director for THE DAYS OF ’98 SHOW. She recently directed and choreographed the Canadian Premier of the musical THE GIRL IN THE FRAME for Intimate Theatre Productions, and also served as the associate director for MGR Playhouse/Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival’s groundbreaking production of CABARET (S.A.L.T. Award for Best Choreography). Select choreographic credits include: the pilot episode of the new TV Drama BLINK; an episode of CityTV’s PACKAGE DEAL (starring Harland Williams); several episodes of YTV’s MR. YOUNG; MY TURQOUISE YEARS (Arts Club); DANCING AT LUGHNASA (Exit 22); JOE SEGAL: AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE (assoc); the 2011 SCOTIABANK GREY CUP GALA (assoc); I LOVE YOU BECAUSE (assoc – Intimate Theatre), XANADU (assist – Arts Club); 42nd STREET. (assist – MGR Playhouse); and Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center production of CELEBRATE BROADWAY, starring John Lithgow and Linda Eder (assoc).
Julie was part of the dance faculty at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City for six years. Guest teaching highlights include the Mediterranean Festival of the Arts in Italy, two years with DanzaActiva in Panama, Broadway Dance Center (NYC), Dance Masters of America, The University of Maryland, and the National Dance Week Conventions across the US. Julie is currently on faculty at Capilano University and Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver, Canada.
