Ernest Balderas was raised in Southern California. His initial interests were swimming, art and playing musical instruments. After watching his sister perform in a dance recital, he decided that he too wanted to be on stage. At age 11, Ernest took his first tap class and immediately fell in love with dance. From that point on, he found himself taking as many dance classes as possible ranging from break dancing to ballet. He was eventually paired with his sister and participated in competitive dance until high school. He taught dance throughout college at several award winning dance studios. Some of his credits include performing on Star Search and choreography for Destiny's Child Bowl Game performance and local theatre groups. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Arts from UCLA, Ernest was fortunate to join the Kids Artistic Revue family. After 25 years with KAR, he is proud of his role as President and feels blessed to be part of such an amazing company. When not traveling for KAR, Ernest enjoys being active outdoors, cooking for his family, walking his dogs, and traveling with his partner. Ernest is very proud and inspired by the talent he is surrounded by at KAR and he is super excited for the next 25 years of creating more memories of a life time!
