Kristyn Nurkka is a dance industry professional and event director with KAR Productions. In her role, she travels across the United States directing regional competitions and conventions while helping create positive and inspiring experiences for dancers, studios, and families. Kristyn is also closely involved with the Protégé program, guiding scholarship winners and their families through the opportunities that come with their title and helping young dancers navigate the next steps in their training and development.

Prior to her work behind the scenes, Kristyn was a professional dancer represented by MSA Agency in Los Angeles. Her experience working professionally in the entertainment industry gives her a unique perspective when mentoring and supporting the next generation of dancers.

Known for her organization, communication, and dedication to the dance community, Kristyn works year-round coordinating events, supporting studios, and ensuring each competition weekend runs smoothly. Her passion for dance education and mentorship drives her commitment to creating opportunities that allow dancers to grow both on and off the stage.
