Virtual Dance Competition Guidelines
KAR Virtual Dance Competition is open to any studio that has previously competed at one of our World Class events in 2019 or 2020! Because this is our first virtual event, and complimentary, we would like this event to be presented as a showcase of your studios hardwork and talent. Qualifying studios can register performances according to the rules below. All eligible performances will be part of our FREE competition webcast. The schedule will be posted on Wednesday before the event.
- 25 FREE ENTRIES, for qualifying studios, to enter our virtual competition.
- Submission Deadline: Tuesday before the event or when we reach max capacity.
- All entries must be submitted by the Studio Owner/Studio Director by the above deadline. Any late submissions will not be allowed to register.
- A studio can enter a total of 25 acts across all categories. Please see the detailed age rules below.
- All submissions must be recordings from a performance or rehearsal during the 2019 or 2020 season.
- Submissions can be recordings from ANY conventions/competitions, KAR or not. We love everyone! You may also use videos from recitals, showcases or any other performances or rehearsals.
- We are accepting only Solos, Duet/Trios, Small Groups, Large Groups and Lines at this time. Please refer to Competition Rules for more information about what your act would qualify as.
- Please make sure your performances are family friendly!
- To watch the competition, you do not need to pre-register. You can just go to the VIRTUAL COMPETITION tab on dancekar.com website and watch for free!
