NEW! STUDIO EXCELLENCE AWARD – The Studio Excellence Award will be presented to the studio that is represented the MOST in the High Point Awards in the Primary, Secondary, Intermediate and Elite levels. To be eligible for this award, a studio must have a minimum of one act represented in the Solo, Duet/Trio, Small Group and Large Group/Line divisions that perform in the same level of competition. In the event of a tie, the award will be given to the studio with the highest ranking. The winning studio in each competitive level will receive a 3-foot trophy. The same criteria listed above will determine the awards at National Finals.

At each Regional Competition and National Finals the Elite Studio presented the Studio Excellence Award will be invited to the 2019 KAR Mexican Cruise departing from Long Beach, CA in November 2019. Each Elite Studio will also receive 1 entry per Elite Studio Excellence Award into the drawing for “KAR gives a CAR!” The winner will be determined at the last Finals of the 2019 season.

The Award is presented to the Studio that is represented MOST in the High Point Awards in the Elite level. Cruise fare for 2 passengers + taxes, port and gratuities are covered and paid for by KAR. Flights and transportation are not provided to the cruise terminal for departure. Kids Artistic Revue is thrilled to share an incredible opportunity called The Camp, a summer intensive curated by MSA Agency celebrating its 3rd annual event! This special offer will save KAR dancers 20% on a unforgettable experience with top professionals in the dance industry.

We are excited to announce the summer dates for The CAMP held on July 30 – Aug 3, 2018 in Los Angeles, CA.

Some of this year’s faculty include: Mark Meismer, Carrie Ann Inaba, Krista Miller, Nappytabs, Vincent Paterson, D-Trix, The LAB, & Kevin Maher (and many more). At The Camp, students will spend the week learning from some of the industry’s most renowned master educators and choreographers.

Attendees will experience how to audition as a professional dancer, working on-set and in front of a camera with a professional crew, attend special local “industry only” dance events, break a sweat in a specialized boot camp fitness class called “MSA-FIT” and take part in the creation of an original film (shot by  a YouTube influencer director!)

Melissa previously danced and trained at Innovation Dance Center of the Performing Arts before graduating from Royal High School. She currently attends the University of San Diego where she studies psychology. She was very happy that her scholarship helped her to pay fees needed for her textbooks.
